Cherie Map Pati is a play created by Haitian Students at the University of South Florida, Tampa. The play deals with a husband who left his wife and two children in Haiti and migrated to New York to find a better life. Unfortunately, in the pursue of trying to get his family in New York the husband contracted HIV.
The Mistress is Always Sweeter ( Fanm Deyo Pi Dous) Part 2
Fanm Deyo Pi Dous created by Jean-Rene Rinvil, tells the story of Joseph Pierre AKA DJ Fanfan, a married man who, by frustration, lack of marital intimacy and an inability of his wife to reproduce, indulges in frivolous affairs with other women. Unforeseeably, Joseph gets attached to one of his girlfriends, which causes him to neglect and emotionally abuse his wife. Fed up with the hostile environment in the house, Joceline , Joseph's wife-moves away to Haiti, at which point Joseph begun enjoying his new found single life. Joseph will later find out the value of the marriage he damaged as he faces some harsh unfortunate situations.

Laviche takes the problems afflicting Haitians in Haiti and juxtaposes them with the multitudes of Haitians detained in Florida immigration jails, thus linking the struggles of all Haitians and showing the role the U.S. government plays in aggravating their circumstances.
