imPASSE tells the
story of Gertrude Bakwana, a foreign student from
Botswana who over stayed her student visa. She finds
herself in the crossroad of becoming an FBI informant
or face deportation if she doesn't turn over of
boyfriend Derrick. Gertrude was dating Derrick for nine
months when she realized she was pregnant but kept it a
secret. Derrick is a really sweet guy and was always
there to help Gertrude with whatever she
needs.
Territories of the
Breast is a feature documentary exploring multiple
crossroads of breast cancer: health inequality, gender
crisis, support system, medical knowledge and artistic
responses.
The artist, Sonia Báez-Hernández,
diagnosed with breast cancer in 2001 in an Outpatient
facility in Evanston exemplifies the options for 46
millions of American without health insurance.
Lavichè A Crisis for
the Poor in Haiti is a documentary that takes the
problems afflicting Haitians in Haiti and juxtaposes
them with the multitudes of Haitians detained in
Florida immigration jails, thus linking the struggles
of all Haitians and showing the role the U.S.
government plays in aggravating their
circumstances.
